Cimetière du père Lachaise

Chris from England 21 Apr 2011, 07:01
Such variety of tombs here

Bill Phillips from England 21 Apr 2011, 13:20
Clearly some very rich people were buried here. Perfect in b&w

Linda Bullock from United Kingdom 21 Apr 2011, 13:29
B/W is perfect for this graveyard, some of the tombs are quite large and intresting smile

That's an old cemetary! In the midst of life, etc....

Looks ancient and so overcrowded. Very different when everything is on the top side.

Ginnie from Netherlands 22 Apr 2011, 06:31
It's probably the most famous cemetery in the world, Rem. I feel very fortunate to have been there in person. You could spend a day there!

Lugubre et beau à la fois. le NB fonctionne parfaitement pour cet endroit. Bien joué!
Bonne journée.

Wonderful Remla.

Rob Martin from Australia 25 Apr 2011, 12:10
nice view, I like cemeteries where they are getting taken back by nature....

I only "discovered" Père Lachaise after I moved from Paris to London; I had visited but now I wish I spent time photographing the iconic tombs

Marco Carbocci 25 Apr 2011, 14:05
Belle compo avec un N&B qui s'imposait de toute évidence. Sinon, j'habite à deux pas... et je confirme pourtant qu'on ne cesse jamais de redécouvrir le Père Lachaise.

Bandoras from United States 25 Apr 2011, 21:49
This feels very eerie, like a ghost/ undead will jump out from behind one of the tombs grin

I was just thinking the same thing Bandoras. Super creepy! Love the b&w conversion used here
